A/R Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
35.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Generate and issue accurate invoices and credit memos based on shipment or vessel delivery data, ensuring correct pricing and customer terms.
- Record customer payments (checks, cash, ACH, wire) and apply to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain AR aging schedules and monitor overdue balances, initiate collection efforts via phone, email, and written correspondence
- Reconcile AR subledger to general ledger balances monthly.
- Prepare weekly and monthly AR reporting, including metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Maintain accurate customer records and payment histories. General Accounting & Reporting
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and related schedules.
- Support the monthly close process through journal entries and account reconciliations.
A/R Specialist Qualifications:
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within a manufacturing, seafood, or distribution environment.
- • Prior experience supporting accounting for vessels or offsite operations is a plus.
- • Strong understanding of AR best practices, collections strategies, and customer relationship management.
- • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- • Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and QuickBooks
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
