1st and 2nd Shift - Maintenance Technician Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
27.00 to $ 27.50 / hour Various shifts available
- Apply mechanical and electrical skills in a production or manufacturing environment to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Perform maintenance on a wide range of plant machinery including conveyors, gear drives, belts, pneumatic and electrical control systems, and compressed air systems.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to established safety standards and procedures.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections according to the established schedule to reduce equipment downtime.
- Support production by assisting line operators with equipment setup, changeovers, and sanitation processes.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures or emergencies, and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Operate, monitor, and shut down plant utility systems including air compressors, water systems, and HVAC as required.
- Utilize technical manuals and manufacturer resources to ensure proper operation, safety, and identification of spare parts for all machinery.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and consumables to support efficient operations and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with management to drive operational efficiency, implement process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform general facility maintenance duties as needed, including basic electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs.
1st and 2nd Shift - Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or training a plus.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety documents.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
