Custodian Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 07:00am to05:00pm )
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices, and other school areas.
- Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff floors regularly.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; spot-clean spills and stains as needed.
- Empty and sanitize trash and recycling bins; replace liners.
- Clean and restock restrooms (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
- Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and other surfaces.
- Wash windows, walls, whiteboards, and other surfaces as needed.
- Set up or break down furniture and equipment for school events or meetings.
- Monitor and secure building entrances/exits; lock/unlock doors as assigned.
- Report maintenance needs, vandalism, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Custodian Qualifications:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility cleaning experience preferred (school or institutional setting a plus).
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling.
- Ability to follow schedules, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must hold a current Fingerprint Clearance Card that is active and not expired.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
