Shipping Clerk Details:

• Temporary position
• $18.00 /hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 04:30pm)

Communicates with the driver to correct bill of lading if a discrepancy is found.Enters material information into MAS 90.Sends email to “Paint Check-Ins” advising receipt of outside paint jobs.Submits copy of packing list to paint sales if appropriate folders are not with the appropriate material.Submits receivables, deficiencies, and damages to appropriate personnel within 24 hours of offloading via email.Sorts and delivers UPS/FedEx freight.Assists in locating material for special projects.Weighs and disposes scrap metal for recycling.Keeps area clean.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees incoming and outgoing shipment activities for accuracy and completeness.Receives and unloads materials from trucks, vans etc.Compares freight bill with materials received and verifies shipping accuracy.Inspects the quality of material received and reports findings.Signs and dates freight bills.Assures a copy of the freight bill is received.Operates fork truck.Transports raw and finished materials to assigned areas.Ensures shipping labels are on packed cartons, identifying shipped materials.Performs housekeeping duties for dock as required.Dumps scrap hoppers into roll-offs as required.Observes and documents any damaged materials.Verifies inbound sizes and quantities to the packing list and notes on the bill of lading if there is a discrepancy.
