Operate plasma cutting equipment to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions by interpreting blueprints and physical layouts. Responsible for maintaining steel inventory.

Plasma Machine Operator Details:
Direct Hire position- $
25.00 / annually Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Position workpieces onto tables or into fixtures.
- Select carbon or metal-coated carbon electrodes, gas nozzles, electric current, and gas pressure based on material type, thickness, chart data, and previous runs.
- Insert electrodes and gas nozzles into holders and connect hoses to compressed gas supplies.
- Select proper amperage using a computer database.
- Remove finished parts from the plasma table.
- Discard sheet skeletons and grind parts to remove burrs.
Plasma Machine Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school education with mechanical training strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to operate power hand tools, including pneumatic grinders.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
