This position plays an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining payroll records, processing deductions, preparing financial reports, and supporting daily accounting operations.

Payroll Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.00 to $ 23.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift
- Prepare and process multiple payroll cycles for salaried and hourly employees.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, compensation information, and deductions.
- Enter and verify timesheets, employee contracts, pay adjustments, and additional compensation.
- Process payroll checks, vendor payments, benefit deductions, and retirement contributions. Balance payroll transactions, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare journal entries.
- Prepare and process payroll tax documentation, including W-2s, W-4s, and Form 941.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal payroll reporting requirements.
- Track employee vacation, sick leave, and other paid leave balances.
- Assist with annual audits, fiscal year-end procedures, and general accounting functions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and financial information.
- Provide professional assistance to employees regarding payroll questions and concerns.
Payroll Specialist Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of payroll experience.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
