Elwood Staffing is seeking experienced, dependable Equipment Operators with a valid Class A CDL to support oilfield operations in Midland, TX! This position combines commercial vehicle operation, specialized oilfield equipment operation, and hands-on fieldwork in a fast-paced, safety-driven environment.
Wage - $18-$22 an hour! LOTS of overtime!

Equipment Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
18.00 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Various shifts available
- Safely operate specialized oilfield equipment and Class A commercial vehicles.
- Drive commercial vehicles equipped with manual (standard) and automatic transmissions.
- Transport equipment, tools, and materials to designated job sites.
- Assist with rig-up, rig-down, and equipment setup during field operations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials.
- Monitor equipment performance and report operational or mechanical concerns.
- Complete required driver logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
- Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and established operating procedures.
- Perform physically demanding tasks in varying outdoor conditions.
- Work rotating shifts to support operational needs.
Equipment Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Ability to operate both manual (standard) and automatic transmission commercial vehicles.
- Acceptable driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor industrial environment.
- Dependable attendance and strong commitment to safety.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
