Yard Jocky Afternoon Hours Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
21.55 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Second Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 05:00pm to01:00am )
- Operate yard hostler equipment to safely move empty and loaded trailers between dock doors and designated yard locations.
- Complete 65 or more trailer moves per shift using onboard tracking systems after training.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, document equipment conditions, and report maintenance concerns.
- Conduct daily yard checks, transport freight to assigned areas, and report damage or discrepancies.
- Maintain a safe, organized work area while following company procedures and yard safety regulations.
Yard Jocky Afternoon Hours Qualifications:
- Ability to safely operate yard hostler equipment and follow trailer movement and dock safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Ability to complete equipment inspections, learn onboard systems, and accurately document work activities.
- Ability to walk frequently, climb stairs, bend, squat, and repeatedly enter and exit yard equipment.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions around moving trailers and equipment.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
