Yard Jockey Night Shift Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.20 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
Third Shift ( Sunday throughThursday from 11:00pm to07:00am )
- Operate yard equipment and move freight safely throughout the facility while following established safety procedures.
- Load, unload, and organize freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Verify cargo counts and conditions, documenting discrepancies and completing required shipping paperwork.
- Inspect equipment, maintain accurate records, and assist with daily dock and warehouse operations.
- Work in a fast-paced cross-dock environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and changing weather conditions.
Yard Jockey Night Shift Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of 3 years of industry driving experience in place of the education requirement.
- Minimum 6 months of related experience, including sit-down forklift operation; active forklift certification required.
- Valid Class C driver's license, acceptable driving record, and DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials certification.
- Ability to operate yard equipment, complete documentation accurately, and perform basic computer and math tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., remain active throughout the shift, and work safely in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
