Driver/Shipping Associate Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
21.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Driving / Delivery: Loading vehicles / Experience utilizing Forklift and pallet jack / Good Customer Service attitude and presence·
- Local deliveries: Majority of trips are local to Columbus and surrounding areas: could include runs to Marietta, Pitts/ PA, etc. but NO OVERNIGHTS·
- Prepare Skids and product for shipping: Prep skids: retrieve product to ship / secure it to skid without damage to freight/ use of straps / secure product to truck itself via racks, etc.·
- Experience with Banders; both (metal and plastic) / Shrink Wrap Machine·
- Some receiving activities: Loading / distribution to proper area (knowledge gained on the job)·
- Verify loads ·
- Software knowledge to make shippers / labels /·
- Dependable / good representative / customer presentation/
Driver/Shipping Associate Qualifications:
- Current Motor Carrier Card necessary.
- Valid DL with excellent driving record and history for insurability purposes (under 2 points)
- Previous experience in similar position (3+ years)
- Forklift + Pallet Jack experience
- Experience driving Manual (Preferred) + Automatic transmission (Required).
- Fleet consists of: Soft side 24 ft. bed box: (Manual) / 26 ft. bed box trucks (Automatic) Industrial Transit Van.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs / manual dexterity / sitting, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing / pulling
- Support Prepping loads/ skids: banding, wrapping as needed.
- Mechanically inclined and familiar with the use of hand and air tools
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
