EDM Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
23.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to02:30pm )
- Write programs, implement functions, and burn details to meet engineering and production specifications.
- Operate EDM equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform general preventive maintenance on EDM equipment as recommended by the manufacturer.
- Inspect and verify finished products to ensure they meet original specifications and requirements.
- Monitor, control, and properly dispose of EDM wire and related supplies.
- Assist the Tool Room with various tasks as needed and directed.
- Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, diagrams, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve practical machining and production issues.
EDM Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. 3–5 years of experience as a Toolmaker or EDM Machinist.
- Experience in a metal stamping or automotive supplier environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety procedures, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals. Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a variety of variables and instructions.
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
