Janitor Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
12.00 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 02:30pm to11:00pm )
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Empty trash and replace liners throughout school buildings
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Set up and arrange rooms for school events and activities
- Perform routine building maintenance and report repair needs
- Help maintain a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment
- Follow cleaning schedules and school safety procedures
- Clean windows, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects during breaks and summer months
Janitor Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not always required
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet school district employment requirements
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or special events as needed
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
