Steel Fabricator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
22.00 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 03:30pm to04:00am )
- Perform material handling duties including lifting, positioning, and removing workpieces from conveyors and bunks.
- Measure and mark reference points accurately using tape measures and layout tools.
- Load, stack, and transport materials, tools, and work-in-process products by hand or with overhead cranes.
- Attach chains, clamps, and rigging equipment to prepare materials for crane movement.
- Clean, grind, and prepare metal surfaces for welding, fabrication, painting, and shipping.
- Operate overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Assist with fabrication projects while meeting quality and production standards.
Steel Fabricator Qualifications:
- Weld certification in Carbon Steel MIG (GMAW) and SMAW, or the ability to obtain certification quickly.
- Experience with Steel fabrication
- Grinding and metal preparation
- Blueprint reading
- Material handling in a manufacturing environment
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
