Fitter Fabricator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.00 to $ 20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Fit and fabricate structural steel and metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication details
- Lay out materials and determine proper dimensions, angles, and placement before assembly
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, bevel, and prepare steel for fabrication
- Fit pieces together accurately prior to welding
- Use squares, levels, tape measures, clamps, and other fitting/fabrication tools to ensure proper alignment
- Perform welding as needed to complete fabricated assemblies
- Operate grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and other fabrication shop tools
Fitter Fabricator Qualifications:
- Previous fitting and metal fabrication experience required
- Must be able to independently fit and fabricate steel components—not just weld pre-fitted material.
- Strong blueprint and shop drawing reading skills.
- Must be comfortable working with measurements, fractions, angles, and basic fabrication math.
- Experience cutting, grinding, fitting, tack welding, and assembling steel.
- Welding experience required; ability to produce quality welds according to specifications.
- Must be able to use standard fabrication and measuring tools accurately.
- Ability to work independently from drawings and instructions.
- Must have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing accurate, quality work.
