Housing Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
16.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:30am to05:00pm )
- Determine eligibility for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) applicants through interviews and verification of income, assets, and household information.
- Manage participant caseloads, including annual and interim recertifications, file maintenance, and case documentation.
- Calculate rent assistance and ensure compliance with HUD regulations and program requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants and landlords, answering questions and resolving issues.
- Coordinate with landlords, inspectors, and community partners to support successful housing placements and program participation.
- Receive a pay increase upon completion of an evaluation period.
Housing Specialist Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business, public administration, social services, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in housing programs, property management, case management, customer service, or a related administrative role preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialized housing program software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality of sensitive participant information.
