Experienced Buyer / Purchasing Agent Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to04:30am )
- Manage purchasing: Source and purchase raw materials, components, hardware, and supplies needed for production.
- Own purchase orders: Create, maintain, and monitor POs while ensuring accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
- Manage suppliers: Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, track supplier performance, and resolve delivery or quality issues.
- Keep production moving: Monitor inventory, forecasts, and material requirements while expediting critical or past-due materials.
- Collaborate across teams: Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Inventory, Shipping/Receiving, and Accounting to prevent shortages and resolve issues.
Experienced Buyer / Purchasing Agent Qualifications:
- 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing purchasing processes.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate pricing, inventory, usage, and lead times.
- Ability to understand BOMs, part numbers, specifications, inventory requirements, and production schedules.
- Strong supplier-management, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills with a high sense of urgency.
