Customer Coordination Manager


This role manages customer communications, evaluates technical needs, translates requirements into internal work orders, and project-manages field service activities from intake through completion.

Customer Coordination Manager Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $90,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:30pm)
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer requests involving field service, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, warranty, and site support.
  • Conduct initial technical intake to determine scope, urgency, site conditions, documentation, and resource requirements.
  • Maintain clear customer communication regarding schedules, execution plans, technical needs, and project status.
  • Manage multiple field service projects from intake through completion, including scope, deliverables, risks, schedules, and action items.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, scheduling conflicts, and execution risks while escalating critical concerns when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Project Management, Supply Chain, suppliers, and field technicians.
  • Ensure technicians receive complete job packages including drawings, procedures, work scopes, parts information, and site requirements.
  • Coordinate customer and site requirements including safety procedures, certifications, training, and access requirements.
  • Create and interpret technical instructions, presentations, reports, Excel summaries, and customer documentation.
  • Manage field service documentation and ERP/CRM transactions including quotes, purchase orders, work orders, part numbers, and project closeout.
  • Maintain field service resource schedules and coordinate technician availability across multiple projects.

Customer Coordination Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred; 8–10+ years of directly relevant switchgear/field service experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • 5–8 years of experience in technical project management, field service coordination, or electrical service operations.
  • Experience with electrical switchboards, switchgear, or power distribution equipment strongly preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience working with ERP systems, project management tools, or technical databases.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and technical service documentation.
  • Familiarity with UL 891 and ANSI C37 standards preferred. Strong technical judgment, troubleshooting, and structured problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and stakeP/CRM systems and project tracking tools.holders simultaneously.
