Forklift Mechanic / Technician Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
17.00 to $ 22.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00am )
The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and material-handling equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, including tune-ups, fluid checks, battery service, and parts replacement.
- Inspect brakes, steering, lifting mechanisms, safety devices, and other critical components.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
- Complete service work orders and accurately document repairs, parts used, and equipment hour-meter readings.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and ensure necessary parts and tools are available.
- Communicate equipment issues and repair recommendations to customers and management.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Respond to service calls and perform repairs at customer locations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Forklift Mechanic / Technician Qualifications:
- Ability to provide basic personal hand tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy parts and equipment.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work in warehouses, outdoor environments, and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate and work around industrial equipment.
