• Essential Responsibilities: Perform detailed mechanical design work, including 3D modeling and simulations (e.g., thermal, stress).
• Create detailed engineering and assembly drawings for manufacturing, ensuring designs meet input specifications.
• Conduct technical analysis and resolve engineering issues in alignment with customer and industry requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers, suppliers, marketing, sales, and project management, to integrate design requirements.
• Design new elastomer seals for pressure control and BOP applications and improve existing products for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Ensure compliance of designs with customer specifications, API standards, and internal design inputs.Highlight mechanical technical risks and participate in design reviews, presenting design concepts and solutions.
• Oversee testing, verification, and conformance of design outputs to meet design inputs, ensuring performance in R&D and production phases.
• Write comprehensive test reports and create design files, including detailed documentation of results, technical reports, and test procedures.
• Work closely with operations, manufacturing, and production engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Lead efforts in generating new part numbers, bills of material (BOM), and managing related technical documentation.
• Address design change requests promptly and ensure timely progress reporting to management and project teams.
• Guide and coordinate the efforts of drafters and technicians involved in the design and development process.
