AOI Operator/Programmer Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
21.50 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Operate AOI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies for defects including missing components, misalignment, polarity & orientation errors, solder defects and tombstoning.
- Create, edit, and optimize AOI inspection programs from YCD files, BOMs and physical boards; tune inspection parameters to minimize false calls while maintaining defect coverage.
- Document inspection results, defect data & provide feedback to SMT and reflow.
- Fill out defect trackers for rework associates when applicable.
- Maintain inspection programs under revision control & update programs as engineering changes or board revisions occur while following our internal change control processes.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks & basic troubleshooting; escalate equipment issues as needed to tech department.
- Communicate inspection findings & quality trends to production & quality personnel.
- Support continuous improvement efforts & maintain compliance with the company's quality management system.
AOI Operator/Programmer Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of SMT assembly processes & common assembly defects.
- Ability to read & interpret assembly guides & BOMs.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 acceptability standards or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency & comfortable learning inspection software.
- Able to work independently & communicate effectively with production & quality teams.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
