AOI Operator/Programmer Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $21.50 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)
  • Operate AOI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies for defects including missing components, misalignment, polarity & orientation errors, solder defects and tombstoning.
  • Create, edit, and optimize AOI inspection programs from YCD files, BOMs and physical boards; tune inspection parameters to minimize false calls while maintaining defect coverage.
  • Document inspection results, defect data & provide feedback to SMT and reflow.
  • Fill out defect trackers for rework associates when applicable. 
  • Maintain inspection programs under revision control & update programs as engineering changes or board revisions occur while following our internal change control processes.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks & basic troubleshooting; escalate equipment issues as needed to tech department.
  • Communicate inspection findings & quality trends to production & quality personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts & maintain compliance with the company's quality management system.

AOI Operator/Programmer Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of SMT assembly processes & common assembly defects.
  • Ability to read & interpret assembly guides & BOMs.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 acceptability standards or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency & comfortable learning inspection software.
  • Able to work independently & communicate effectively with production & quality teams.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
