Fire Protection Maintenance Technician

The Fire Protection Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection and life safety systems in a high-tech manufacturing facility. This role ensures critical fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and detection systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Fire Protection Maintenance Technician Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $23.50 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • Various shifts available (Sunday through Saturday from 05:45am to 06:15pm)
  • Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm, sprinkler, and fire suppression systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform preventive maintenance on life safety systems.
  • Complete inspections, testing, and maintenance documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support system upgrades and work with engineering teams to keep critical fire protection systems operational.

Fire Protection Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training, NICET, or NFPA certifications are a plus. 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing fire protection, life safety, or industrial mechanical/electrical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour compressed shifts, pass required background and drug screenings, and work in cleanroom and industrial environments.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
