Electrical Controls Systems Engineer I Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $86,000.00 to $94,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 04:30am)
  • Create, update, and maintain electrical power, control, instrumentation, and P&ID drawings using AutoCAD Electrical while interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Support electrical engineering projects through electrical calculations, PLC and HMI programming, PID loop configuration, BOM maintenance, project documentation, and design updates.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues and collaborate with engineers, designers, manufacturing, and operations teams to develop effective design solutions and improve project outcomes.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement efforts while supporting and mentoring entry-level electrical designers and CAD drafters.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements, including NEC, IEEE, MSHA, and company safety programs, while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer service.

Electrical Controls Systems Engineer I Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology, or Associate's degree plus 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and technical math skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • EIT certification preferred; safety-focused with a commitment to quality standards.
