Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift Details:
Direct Hire position- $
36.00 / hour Second Shift
- Maintain and repair hydraulic, all-electric, and hybrid injection molding presses to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance on molds, hot runner systems, temperature controllers, vacuum loaders, granulators, and resin drying equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair servo motors, VFDs, AC/DC motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and power transmission systems.
- Support startup, commissioning, and optimization of new injection molding equipment and automation systems. Inspect, repair, and replace machine components including barrels, screws, heaters, thermocouples, valves, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Assist with root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Perform alignment, calibration, lubrication, and precision mechanical repairs to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Work with production to reduce cycle times, improve machine efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the molding operation.
- Maintain utilities supporting molding operations, including compressed air systems, cooling towers, chilled water systems, and process water equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic drawings, and OEM equipment manuals to efficiently diagnose and repair equipment.
Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Technical/Trade School preferred.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in plastic injection molding or automated manufacturing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Familiarity with robotics and automation systems.
- Knowledge of LOTO, industrial safety practices, and preventive maintenance programs.
