Shop manager Details:
Temporary position- $
36.00 to $ 43.00 / hour Full Time and Part Time work availableFirst Shift
Manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication and welding shop. Oversee opening and closing procedures to ensure the facility is secure and operational. Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate shop employees to promote productivity and safety. Create and manage employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and meet production deadlines. Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations. Monitor inventory levels and order materials, supplies, and equipment as needed. Prepare production, inventory, and operational reports for management. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve purchasing issues.
Shop manager Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or industrial environment. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Experience supervising, training, and scheduling employees. Knowledge of inventory control and shop operations. Ability to read production schedules, work orders, and reports. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic inventory or production software. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers. Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment.
