Material Planner - Automotive Details:
Contract position- $
25.00 to $ 28.00 / hour First Shift
- Develop and maintain material plans to support production schedules and customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels, material requirements, and usage to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Utilize SAP to review MRP requirements, update planning data, and track material movements.
- Analyze demand, inventory, and production requirements to identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, and Suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inbound shipments and follow up on late or delayed materials that may impact production.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters, inventory records, and material master data in SAP.
- Investigate material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and supply issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve material planning processes, inventory levels, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day planning support to Production, Materials, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.
Material Planner - Automotive Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory, materials, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain o
- 2+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, materials, inventory, logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Experience working with SAP or another ERP/MRP system required. Strong understanding of MRP, material requirements, inventory management, and production planning.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing, just-in-time (JIT), or lean manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to analyze demand, inventory levels, production schedules, and material availability.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
