Buyer Material Planner Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
33.00 to $ 34.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Source and purchase materials to support production and operational needs.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and support planning activities.
- Utilize ERP systems to create purchase orders and track material requirements.
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain procurement records and supplier performance data.
Buyer Material Planner Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 is highly required.
- Previous background in contracts management, inventory control, production planning, or merchandising is helpful.
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
