Tooling technician
Elwood Staffing is hiring for an experienced Tooling Technician! If you have strong mechanical abilities and enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, this could be a great fit for you.
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM & 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Tooling technician Details:
Direct Hire position- $
26.00 to $ 32.00 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 03:00pm to11:00pm )
- Repairing and maintaining tooling, dies, and equipment
- Inspecting, cleaning, and troubleshooting tooling components
- Working with electrical and mechanical systems
- Using hand tools, air tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, and other shop equipment
- Assisting with preventative maintenance and tooling repairs
- Reading blueprints and work instructions
- Working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Tooling technician Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Manufacturing or tooling background
- Blueprint reading and shop math skills
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick is a plus)
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around heat and machinery
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
