We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable individual to join our team at Akers Packaging in North Vernon as a Press Operator in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Press Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
16.71 / hour Full Time work available- Weekend work required
First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to03:30pm )
- Set up and operate printing presses to apply designs or lettering onto corrugated sheets.
- Load & stack materials for press operation
- Adjust machine settings to accurately score, slot, & join corrugated sheets.
- Produce precise cartons according to specifications for various packaging applications.
- Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Monitor machine performance & troubleshoot minor issues to maintain efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols & company operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean & organized workstation.
Press Operator Qualifications:
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, & write in English.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively & up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of standing for an 8-hour shift.
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Press Machine Operator, or Production Line Worker is highly preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in assembly, inspection, or general warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail & a commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting.
