CDL Driver - Contract to Hire Details:

• Contract to Hire position
• $32.00 to $35.00 /annually
• First Shift

• Conduct daily deliveries within a 150-mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, utilizing 53' flatbed tractor trailers and 24' flatbed trucks, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods.
• Operate leased Penske daycab tractors for long-haul transportation, with occasional use of 24' flatbed trucks for shorter distances or when tractor trailers are not required.
• Demonstrate proficiency in flatbed operations, including loading and securing loads of pipe and pallets of steel pipe and fittings, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Execute daily inspections of vehicles per pretrip inspections, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues or safety concerns before each journey.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, trip reports, and proof of delivery documents, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate loading and unloading procedures, ensuring efficient and damage-free handling of cargo.
• Uphold a commitment to safety by adhering to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and securement devices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, representing the company positively at all times.
