Heading Operator – Set Up Details:
Contract to Hire position- $
40.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 04:00am to01:00pm )
• The Cold Heading Machinist will produce high-quality fasteners and components using cold heading machines.
• Set up cold heading machines accurately and efficiently according to production schedules and specifications including loading raw materials, adjusting machine settings, and verifying alignment to achieve optimal production conditions.
• Safely operate cold heading machines during production runs, following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as necessary, and troubleshoot any issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Focus on quality throughout the production process by consistently inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and other quality criteria.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
Heading Operator – Set Up Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of hot/cold-heading experience in a manufacturing environment
• Interest in machinery and mechanical ability
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail, regulations, and safety procedures
• Competency with basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• The ability to use intermediate inspection tools such micrometers, calipers, comparators
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
