Quality Technician (Gage Lab) Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
25.62 / hour Full Time work availableSecond Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 02:30pm to10:30pm )
- Responsible for checking, adjusting, calibrating, certification and repair of precision measuring instruments.
- Laps, adjusts and repairs gages to restore accuracy.
- Close involvement with the certification of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Super Micrometers, surface plates and allied equipment.
- Makes repairs and/or arranges for the repairs with outside suppliers.
- Closely involved with the ISO9001 process and the Corporate Gage System to maintain accurate records.
Quality Technician (Gage Lab) Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with gage checking, repair and certification.
- CNC machining background, ability to interpret part features to gage readings and gage readings to gage features.
- Knowledge and use of surface plate layout and the ability to perform trigonometric calculations to determine dimensions that are not called out on the print.
- Certification requires precision measurement in Metric and English standards.
- Repair and troubleshooting require mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Above average keyboard skills and knowledge of Caterpillar computer systems (GageIt, and other PC software).
- Ability to work in a team environment, receptive to change and have good organizational skills.
