Elwood Staffing Referral Contest Official Rules

To be eligible to participate in an Elwood Staffing Referral Contest:

An eligible "Referred Person" is an individual you refer to Elwood Staffing for employment opportunities and who: 

  1. is a new applicant to Elwood Staffing; or not currently on assignment through Elwood Staffing at the time of the referral, and
  2. works a minimum of eight hours through Elwood Staffing.

An eligible “Referrer” is an individual who refers/recommends another person to apply with Elwood Staffing. Additional qualifiers that must be met by the referrer include:

  1. be 18 years of age or older; and
  2. contact information (phone and/or email) for the Referrer must be provided to Elwood Staffing via www.elwoodstaffing.com/refer, www.welovereferrals.com, or to an Elwood Staffing internal employee (branch staff) by the Referred Person prior to beginning an assignment with Elwood Staffing.

Additional contest rules:

  1. A Referred Person is eligible for a contest prize for the month in which they met their eight-hour work requirement.
  2. A Referred Person is eligible if they are employed by Elwood Staffing on the date of the random drawing or termed “eligible for rehire”.
  3. Referrers are eligible to resubmit the names of Referred Persons after 30 days.
  4. Neither internal employees of Elwood Staffing, nor their immediate family members, are eligible to participate in Elwood Staffing Referral Contests.

Winner selection and conditions. If all the above eligibility requirements were met, referrers will receive one entry into the random weekly drawing per eligible referral. Each weekly winner may receive a prize, the option to pick-a-prize, or a monetary bonus via payroll for Elwood employees. In the event the Referrer is not employed by Elwood Staffing, the award will be distributed in the form of a gift card.

All winners will be responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local tax reporting and payments. Any prize over $600.00 will be subject to an IRS 1099 form. The winner's valid social security number must also be provided.

Winners notification. All winners will be notified using the contact information provided. Payout is subject to verification of identity, eligibility, and confirmation of not being an immediate family member of an internal Elwood Staffing employee. Winners must respond to award notifications by phone or email within three (3) days or payouts will be forfeited in their entirety. Cash prizes, when applicable, will be awarded in the form of a check or direct deposit.

Publicity. Participation in the Elwood Staffing Referral Contest constitutes permission to use name and likeness of winners in Elwood Staffing promotional and marketing efforts, unless prohibited by law. 

General Conditions: All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Elwood Staffing reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the contest if, in Elwood Staffing's sole discretion, it reasonably believes the participant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest through dishonest acts, fraud, deception, or other unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other entrants or Elwood Staffing. No prize substitution may be made except at the sole discretion of Elwood Staffing, and prize(s) are not transferrable.

Right to cancel. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, any suspected evidence of tampering or technological corruption or if any portion of the contest is compromised by virus, bugs, worms or unauthorized human intervention, or any other causes beyond Elwood Staffing's control which, in its sole opinion, corrupts, threatens or impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the contest, Elwood Staffing reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest at its sole discretion. All decisions made by Elwood Staffing shall be final.
