General Responsibilities as a Benefits Coordinator:

  • Process customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administer associate health benefits including enrollments, edits, and terminations
  • Administer/Support annual benefits Open Enrollment process for internal employees as well as associates
  • Coordinate key communication streams with third party benefit providers.
  • Manage associate/employee payroll premium deductions
  • Process associate/employee payroll premium refunds
  • Process associate National Support Orders
  • Process associate/employee CMS/Medicare double-payment claims/appeals
  • Process associates health insurance premiums invoicing reconciliation and processing for payment or adjustments
  • Manage MV5500 plan administration for ACA compliance & 1095 reporting
  • Produce schedules and ad-hoc reporting pertaining to benefits
  • Maintains benefits portion of HRIS

Desired Skills & Experience for a Benefits Coordinator:

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to proactively communicate and to resolve issues with the highest sense of urgency.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple streams of data and information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to HRIS and payroll/benefits processes a plus
