General Laborers to support daily maintenance and operational tasks across public works, streets, grounds, and facilities. This role involves physical labor, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and safe operation of city vehicles and equipment. A valid North Carolina Driver’s License is required.

General Laborers with NC DL Details:
Temporary position- $
15.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 07:00am to04:00pm )
- Public Works Maintenance — Assist with street repair, pothole patching, debris removal, and right?of?way upkeep.
- Groundskeeping Tasks — Mow, trim, rake, prune, and maintain city?owned parks, lots, and green spaces.
- Equipment Operation — Safely operate light equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small utility vehicles.
- Manual Labor — Load/unload materials, dig, lift, carry, and perform general cleanup duties.
- Vehicle Operation — Drive city vehicles as assigned to support daily work tasks.
- Facility Support — Assist with basic repairs, painting, cleaning, and upkeep of city buildings and infrastructure.
General Laborers with NC DL Qualifications:
- Experience in landscaping, construction, groundskeeping, or public works
- Familiarity with small equipment or hand tools
- Ability to read and follow work orders or instructions
- MUST HAVE A CLEAN NC DL
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
