Inventory Control Specialist


Essential Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts. Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS system. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances. Monitor inventory movements and ensure proper transactions are completed. Audit inventory locations for accuracy and organization. Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, and product quantities. Assist with inventory reconciliation and physical inventories. Research missing, damaged, or mislocated inventory. Communicate inventory concerns and shortages to leadership. Generate and review inventory reports as needed. Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO inventory practices when applicable. Support operational teams with inventory-related questions and adjustments. Maintain organization and cleanliness within inventory storage areas. Work closely with receiving and production teams to ensure accurate inventory flow. Identify opportunities for process improvements and inventory accuracy enhancements.

Inventory Control Specialist Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $52,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday)

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, performing cycle counts, and ensuring inventory accuracy throughout warehouse operations. This position works closely with warehouse, receiving, production, and shipping teams to identify discrepancies, investigate inventory issues, and support operational efficiency..


Inventory Control Specialist Qualifications:

Qualifications Previous warehouse or inventory control experience preferred. Experience required using WMS systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. if needed. Forklift experience or certification preferred. Preferred Skills Knowledge of cycle counting procedures. Experience with lot-controlled or perishable inventory. Ability to analyze inventory data and trends. Familiarity with Excel and inventory reporting.
