Construction Assistant Project Manager Details:

  • Direct Hire position
  • $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 /annually
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
  • Assist Project Managers in coordinating and managing the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, contracts, and closeout documentation.
  • Assist with project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and cost coding.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating activities and scope development.
  • Participate in value engineering efforts and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
  • Attend project meetings and provide project status updates as needed.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of project schedules and project reports.
  • Support project closeout activities including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and final documentation.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and client presentations when required.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assist in resolving project issues and coordinating communication between field and office personnel.
  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with schedule updates and project coordination efforts.
  • Combination of office and construction site environments.

Construction Assistant Project Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. - or equivalent experience. 
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Experience with construction management or project management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
