Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler
The CDL Driver/Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, loading, and unloading of materials. This role also encompasses warehouse and yard duties that require frequent heavy lifting. The primary objective is to support daily operations by ensuring materials are delivered on time, inventory is handled properly, and all safety standards are consistently followed.

Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler Details:
Direct Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 25.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently for local and regional transport routes
- Perform thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment; report any maintenance issues promptly
- Load, unload, and secure materials onto trucks, often requiring manual handling and the use of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Regularly lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds independently or with assistance
- Execute warehouse and yard duties including receiving, stocking, organizing, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment
- Maintain accurate records for deliveries, inventory, vehicle logs, and other required documentation
- Strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment within the vehicle and facility
Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
- Flexibility to work a schedule that include may include weekends
- Must possess or be able to obtain a current DOT Medical Card
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
