Description
Staff Accountant
Healthy CPA Firm seeking a Staff Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and have at least 1 year of public or private accounting. Desire to pursue CPA is a plus. $60K - $80K DOE + benefits + paid overtime. Position sits in office in Vernal with flexible, work from home, Wednesdays.

Staff Accountant Details:
Direct Hire position- $
60,000.00 to $ 80,000.00 / annually First Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers for multiple clients
- Post adjusting and recurring journal entries
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Assist with month end and year end closing procedures
- Perform data entry and account reconciliations
- Communicate with clients to request financial documents and clarify details
- Support senior accountants and CPAs with tax planning and virtual CFO projects
Staff Accountant Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1+ year of professional/internship accounting experience
- Working understanding of the accounting equation
- Experience with UltraTax QuickBooks Desktop a plus
- Online Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple assignments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to pursue CPA licensure a plus but not required
