Assistant Superintendent (construction) Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $80,000.00 to $110,000.00 /annually
• First Shift (Monday through Friday)

Manage and oversee quality control and completion of construction of new homes and apartments/multifamily in San Marcos including supervising all trade contractors; manage compliance with municipalities; managing documentation process; and assisting Project Superintendent / Site Manager with daily field activities.

• Overseeing Quality Control and Job Site Management.
• Supervise all trade contractors at project – instruct, direct, and perform quality control at job site.
• Inspect homes under construction daily - checking on progress, completeness, and deficiencies and rectify any issues.
• Make decisions and maintain control in the absence of Project Superintendent.
• Conduct coordination meetings with various trades on a weekly basis.
• Conduct inspections with all municipalities and third-party consultants to assure compliance with building codes and corporate standards. These inspections can vary from inspecting trenches and footings to roof sheathing, plaster operations, roofing installation, etc.
• Manage documentation process for each individual lot - to include collecting, compiling, and organizing for presentation to the city for completion of final permitting purposes.
• Administer construction scheduling software (TracTime).
