Material Handler

Elwood Staffing is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Material Handlers for a temporary assignment within a secure warehouse environment. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of electronic devices, from meticulous picking and packing to thorough quality inspection. Sunday-Wednesday: 6:00am-4:30pm

Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00am- 4:30pm

Sunday-Wednesday: 4:00pm-2:30am

Wednesday-Saturday: 4:00pm-2:30am

**Key Responsibilities:***

*Accurately pick and pack electronic devices according to order specifications and client requirements.

* Inspect products for any signs of damage and verify counts to maintain stringent quality control standards.

* Carefully read product labels to ensure orders are processed swiftly and accurately.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

* Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and OSHA standards.

* Stand and walk continuously throughout the entire shift duration.

**Required Skills & Experience:*** Demonstrated proficiency in pick and pack operations.

* Experience utilizing an RF scanner for inventory management.

**Physical Requirements:***

*Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing between 20 to 70 pounds.

* Capability to stand and walk for the full duration of a 10.5-hour shift.

**Work Environment & Policies:***

*Work takes place in a highly secure warehouse facility. All associates are required to pass through multiple metal detectors upon entry.

*A strict policy is in place regarding metal items; no items that may trigger metal detectors are permitted inside the facility.

* Cell phones, earbuds, and smartwatches are strictly prohibited on the warehouse floor to ensure security and minimize distractions.

**Dress Code:***

Plain black, blue, or khaki jeans or shorts.* Plain black or gray shirts.
