Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler
We are looking for a reliable Fill?In CDL Driver / Material Handler to support our daily operations. This position involves transporting materials, loading and unloading deliveries, and performing warehouse and yard duties that require frequent heavy lifting. Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler Details:
Direct Hire position- $
20.00 to $ 25.00 / hour Part Time work availableVarious shifts available
- Operate company vehicles (CDL Class A or B preferred; non?CDL drivers considered)
- Deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to customer sites and company locations
- Complete pre?trip and post?trip inspections and maintain accurate driver logs Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status
- Load and unload trucks using a dolly, push hand truck, forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, or manual lifting
- Move, stack, and organize materials in the warehouse or yard Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records Inspect materials for damage and report issues
- Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull 50–100+ lbs
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions Stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and DOT regulations
- Use proper PPE and safe lifting techniques
- Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly
Fill-in CDL Driver/Material Handler Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record preferred; non?CDL drivers considered
- Experience using a dolly, push hand truck, forklifts, or other material?handling equipment (certification preferred)
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor safely and consistently
- Strong communication skills and dependable work habits
- Basic math and record?keeping ability
- Warehouse, construction, or logistics experience is a plus
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
