Housing Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary Housing Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will work within one or more housing programs to help low-income families, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities access and afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing. Collaborating with team members, you will guide applicants through the eligibility, application, lease-up, and recertification processes, ensuring clear understanding of complex program requirements while administering various housing programs.

Housing Specialist Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Determine program eligibility for applicants in accordance with established guidelines
- Support applicants through the successful completion of housing assistance applications
- Accurately and efficiently complete lease-up and recertification processes
- Clearly and patiently explain complex program requirements to diverse clientele, ensuring comprehension
- Administer various housing programs, consistently complying with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
- Schedule and conduct professional appointments and meetings
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential caseload files and documentation

Housing Specialist Qualifications:
- Experience in Property Management, particularly with Section 8 housing programs - preferred
- Prior experience in Residential Property Management - preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply program regulations and policies to real-life situations
- Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to serving diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations for accurate record-keeping and processing
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
