Brake Press Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
23.00 to $ 26.00 / hour Full Time work availableVarious shifts available ( Monday throughThursday )
- $23-$26/hr Based on Experience
- 4 day work week
- Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Select, install, and adjust appropriate tooling (dies and punches) for different bending operations
- Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Monitor machine operation for any malfunctions, material imperfections, or deviations from specifications
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication to ensure optimal performance, longevity, and safe operation of the brake press
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with strict quality standards and reporting discrepancies
Brake Press Operator Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience operating brake press machines
- Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and detailed work instructions
- Fundamental understanding of metal forming processes and basic metallurgy
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such (e.g., calipers, micrometers, protractors)
- Ability to work effectively and safely in a dirty and hot industrial manufacturing environment
- Physical capability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 75lbs unassisted
- Steel-toed boots required
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
