Manual Machinist Details:
Direct Hire position- $
25.00 to $ 35.00 / hour First Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 06:00am to02:30pm )
- Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines from raw stock
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Determine machining sequence, tooling, and workholding
- Machine parts to tight tolerances (±.001” or better)
- Select and adjust feeds and speeds based on material
- Perform in-process inspection (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
- Troubleshoot issues (chatter, finish quality, dimensional accuracy)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Manual Machinist Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Experience grinding your own tools
- Basic CNC knowledge (Haas)
Required:
- 5+ years of manual machining experience (lathe & mill required)
- Strong ability to read blueprints and work independently
- Experience holding tight tolerances consistently
- Solid understanding of machining fundamentals (feeds, speeds, tooling)
- Ability to set up jobs from scratch (not just run parts)
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
