CNC Machinist Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Proficient knowledge of mircometers, calipers, indicators, and standard inspection equipment
• Experience in using manual machines (lathes, grinders, etc)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Good math and written communication skills
• Efficient time management skills
• Availability to work occasional overtime including weekends, public holidays and evenings
• Organizational and communication skills to work with a small team

Preferred:

• Some experience in programming semi-automated or automated machines (lathes, grinders, etc). Experience with Hass CNC controls a plus
• Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds at a time
• Must wear safety gear, glasses and shoes, when handling box cutters or similar tools
• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks for most of the work day
• Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
