CDL Class A Delivery Driver Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
24.00 to $ 25.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday )
- Operate commercial vehicles with a Class A CDL endorsement for the safe and timely delivery of glass products to various destinations
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
- Execute loading and unloading of trucks, which may involve manual lifting or operating material handling equipment, ensuring proper product securement to prevent damage during transit
- Verify load accuracy against delivery manifests, obtain necessary delivery confirmations, and maintain accurate records and electronic logs (ELDs)
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
CDL Class A Delivery Driver Qualifications:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle
- Capable of frequent physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and perform other physical movements necessary for loading/unloading trucks and performing vehicle inspections.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver, demonstrating strong navigational and route management skills
- Demonstrated experience and capability as a Material Handler, including safe loading and unloading practices
- Thorough understanding and adherence to DOT regulations and commercial driving laws
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to workplace safety
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
