Customs Compliance Specialist Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $28.00 to $33.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 03:30pm)
  • The CBP Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations across bonded warehouse operations, third-party logistics (3PL) services, and customs brokerage support functions. This role oversees bonded and in-bond freight, customs documentation, inventory controls, and regulatory interactions to mitigate risk and ensure compliant handling, storage, filing, and release of international freight.

Customs Compliance Specialist Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in CBP compliance, bonded warehouse operations, 3PL logistics, or customs brokerage
  • Strong working knowledge of CBP regulations, bonded inventory controls, and customs documentation 
  • Experience interacting directly with CBP officers, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies 
  • Familiarity with WMS bonded modules and customs systems (ABI/ACE) • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Combination of office and warehouse settings 
  • Regular interaction with CBP officers and regulatory agencies •
  • May require extended hours during audits, exams, or peak operational periods
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
