Mill & Lathe Setup Operator Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $20.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Thursday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)
  • Mon - Thur 
  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
  • Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to transition to other shifts as needed, including 2nd shift
  • Execute precision setups and operations of CNC mill and lathe machines. 
  • Perform essential machine adjustments, including tool changes, offset modifications, and minor G-code program edits to optimize production. . 
  • Continuously monitor machine performance, identify potential issues, and ensure seamless operation throughout shifts. 
  • Conduct rigorous in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) to guarantee part conformity.  
  • Interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions with a high degree of understanding. 

Mill & Lathe Setup Operator Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist, CNC Mill & Lathe Setup Operator, or in a similar precision machining role.
  • Strong capability in performing detailed quality checks and maintaining vigilant production monitoring. 
  • Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting engineering blueprints and technical specifications. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules, including the primary 1st shift and potential 2nd shift with a 4-day work week.
  • Foundational understanding or experience with G-code programming. 
  • Familiarity with diverse CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak). 
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
