Mill & Lathe Setup Operator Details:
Temp-to-Hire position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughThursday from 06:00am to02:30pm )
- Mon - Thur
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to transition to other shifts as needed, including 2nd shift
- Execute precision setups and operations of CNC mill and lathe machines.
- Perform essential machine adjustments, including tool changes, offset modifications, and minor G-code program edits to optimize production. .
- Continuously monitor machine performance, identify potential issues, and ensure seamless operation throughout shifts.
- Conduct rigorous in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) to guarantee part conformity.
- Interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions with a high degree of understanding.
Mill & Lathe Setup Operator Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist, CNC Mill & Lathe Setup Operator, or in a similar precision machining role.
- Strong capability in performing detailed quality checks and maintaining vigilant production monitoring.
- Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules, including the primary 1st shift and potential 2nd shift with a 4-day work week.
- Foundational understanding or experience with G-code programming.
- Familiarity with diverse CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak).
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
