We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shop Pipe Inspector for a temporary role within the oil and gas industry. This position is crucial for ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of pipes, fittings, and fabricated spool pieces before installation, ultimately safeguarding the reliability and safety of vital infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and documenting defects and ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards.

Shop Pipe Inspector Details:
Temporary position- $
20.00 / hour Full Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 08:00am to05:00pm )
- Perform comprehensive visual inspections of pipes, Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), fittings, and fabricated spool pieces to detect defects, pitting, and wall loss
- Utilize Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods, such as magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and other relevant techniques, to identify internal and surface flaws like corrosion and cracks
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to address any non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace in accordance with company policies
Shop Pipe Inspector Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably within the oil and gas, manufacturing, or pipe fabrication industry
- Familiarity with various NDT techniques (e.g., visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic testing)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects and quality issues
- Basic general labor skills, including the ability to perform physical tasks
- Physical demands include frequent standing for the duration of an 8-hour shift, bending, and repetitively lifting up to 25 pounds
- Dress Code: Flame resistant clothing, Steel toe boots and Safety glasses
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
