2nd Shift Floor Supervisor Details:
Direct Hire position- $
70,000.00 to $ 80,000.00 / annually Second Shift ( Monday throughFriday from 03:00pm to12:00am )
Seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Floor Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced steel pipe coating and fabrication environment. This role is responsible for supervising production personnel, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and driving operational efficiency to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all 2nd shift production activities, including pipe coating, material handling, and finishing operations
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of hourly production employees to meet performance expectations
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet customer deadlines and output targets
- Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications
- Collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime and resolve equipment issues quickly
- Track and report shift performance metrics, including productivity, scrap, and downtime
- Enforce company policies and maintain a positive, accountable work environment
- Assist with training, onboarding, and performance evaluations for production staff
2nd Shift Floor Supervisor Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, steel, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of production processes, preferably in pipe, coating, or metal fabrication
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles is a plus
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (heat, noise, heavy equipment)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with coating processes (fusion bonded epoxy, ARO, etc.)
- Experience using ERP or production tracking systems
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot process issues
- Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
